We have seen and heard of much error in many books, which unlearned people, through their simplicity, have esteemed as great wisdom. Therefore We have need of good instruction, especially at this time, which is the ending of the world. For everyone may the more easily withstand future temptation if We are strengthened by book learning.

Therefore, for the scholarship he has dedicated to the People of Our Barony, and for his creation of good books, We recognize Alan Fairfax with Our Award of the Elephant's Heart. Let none countermand Our words.
