Award of the Tower's Foundation
Awarded to Hjorleif Ottarsson (modernly known as Andrew Tomlinson)
By the Barony of Cynnabar on 2017-11-04
Come and be counted, | say Kasha and Ermenrich
To hard-willed Hjorlief | whose hands are fruitful;
Here in Our hall | he will have mind’s worth
Till, slain, he slumbers | the sleep of the sword.
Reddened war-shields | ring in the rampage
As Cynnabar’s swords | sunder the enemy:
The mêlée’s delight | he leads to the hosts;
His door he throws wide | to workers of war.
A bright day brings | that brave-souled lord
Who has a heart | like his to share;
Ever will his era | be told of on Earth
And men will praise | his merit and might.
Thus do We, Kasha and Ermenrich, Baroness and Baron
of Cynnabar, grant unto Hjorleif Ottarsson Our Award of
the Tower’s Foundation. Let none countermand Our
words.
