Let the people take as an example
this woman whose virtues are ample.
Birke teaches each fighter
to count his suffering lighter,
to wear her armor with grace,
to look danger in the face.
She weaves the gifts she offers:
beautiful largesse from her coffers.
Her words are frank and fervent;
she is integrity’s fearless servant.
Like a lioness before the noble classes,
like a lamb among the common masses,
with the recalcitrant she is strict and severe,
but with the righteous merciful appears.

Now Ermenrich and Kasha, who alone
sit sternly on Cynnabar’s Thrones,
declare that for her service without cessation,
the Award of the Tower’s Foundation
upon Elß die Jägerin zum Birke is conferred.
Let none countermand Our words.
